CALPE – Welcome home
The city of Calpe is located 25 kilometers north of Benidorm. A city that has now become a small tourist spot away from the hustle and bustle of the area.
Little by little, Calpe is making a big dent in terms of sun and beach tourism. For this it has many aspects in its favor: Mediterranean climate, great quality of its beaches, closeness to big tourist capitals (Alicante, Valencia, Benidorm …) and tourist attractions.
With its 13 kilometers of coastline, Calpe is one of the cities on the Costa Blanca that has the most coves and corners towards the sea. It also has certifications with the Q of quality and waves the Blue Flag on two of its beaches.
The municipality keeps vestiges of the past in its old quarter and curiosities such as the ruins of the Baños de la Reina, and that of some old salinas. Its fishing port presents a very animated image and next to it there are restaurants in which to taste fish and seafood from the area.
One of the main tourist attractions of Calpe is the Natural Park of the Peñón de Ifach, raised in a massif on the sea at 332 meters high, has about 50,000 square meters and one kilometer in length.
It is the product of a landslide of the Sierra de Oltà, and is connected to the land by a narrow isthmus. That is why one of the symbols of the Costa Blanca and one of the most unique geographical features of the Valencian Community.
